Affordable surface grinding all-rounders

Newly developed state-of-the-art TechMaster surface grinders are showcased in an informative new brochure from UK-based specialist Jones & Shipman. The ten-page brochure provides a comprehensive guide to Jones & Shipman's precision heavy-duty TechMaster series; a range of microprocessor controlled surface grinders engineered for unrivalled productivity, ease-of-use and low cost operation.

Available in four different capacities from 500 x 200mm to 1000 x 500mm, the TechMaster range combines high-grade cast iron bed, column and saddle castings, which together provide a rigid grinding platform ideally suited to surface flattening operations within the press tool, mould & die and general production environments. Saddle, table and wheelhead assemblies are supported on wide- spaced Turcite coated slides for further improvements in sensitivity and machining accuracy and the TechMaster's MMI (Man Machine Interface) control helps simplify operation for increased productivity.

Other features which are said to contribute to the range's performance include Yaskawa AC servomotors and baliscrews for optimum crossfeed and downfeed control, a precision angular contact taper roller bearing wheelhead and hydraulically actuated table traverse, controlled electronically using proximity switch reverse dogs.
