MIG welding guns

Keywords: Welding, Equipment

The new PSF 2100 range of self-cooled and water-cooled MIG welding guns from ESAB are said to provide productivity and performance where it counts. The result of many years of R&D and practical experience, all torches in the range are reported to be robust, well balanced, lightweight and are easy to use.

The self-cooled range starts with the PSF 160 gun, capable of handling 160A at 60 per cent duty cycle, with solid wires from 0.6-1.0mm, and weighing just 1.4kg when fitted with a 3 metre long hose.

Continuing with the PSF 250, PSF 305 and PSF 405, the self-cooled range is topped by the PSF 505. This heavy duty torch is designed for 475A maximum current at 60 per cent duty cycle, and can be used with solid and cored wires from 1.0mm to 2.4mm.

For long run and high amperage applications, the two new water-cooled versions, PSF 41OW and PSF 51OW offer welding capabilities of up to 425A and 500A respectively at 100 per cent duty cycle.

All guns in the PSF 2100 series feature new ergonomic handles, a range of angled swan necks, and are available with hose lengths of 3m and 4.5m. Different wire liners can be supplied to suit all materials and dimensions.

Euro type connectors are standard for all guns; and for remote welding process control, an RS3 remote 3-step program switch is available for the majority of torches in the range.
