Piper aircraft parts business sees 20 per cent boost

Bournemouth based Meridian Aviation Ltd, who took over the assets of Anglo American Airmotive Ltd in February and became new sole distributor of Piper aircraft for the UK, Ireland and Spain reports that it has seen Piper aircraft parts sales boost by 20 per cent in the first 4 months of operation compared to the same period last year (Plate 13).

Paul Randall, Parts Division sales executive at Meridian’s, says that the demand from Piper aircraft operators and owners across the UK has meant that their parts team have recruited additional personnel to ensure that customers are given a fast turnaround service.

“We are expecting to exceed £1 million in parts sales in 2002”, says Paul Randall. “Demand has not only come from general wear and tear but from owners, wishing to refurbish their aircraft.”
