Coatings removal specialist MK Technologies of Worsley, Greater Manchester, UK, has attained BAE Systems certificate of approval. The IS09002 company is now approved to operate on BAE aircraft sites and to supply plastic media and chemical solutions for aircraft refurbishment work.
The authorisation follows an extensive audit by BAE Systems. MK Technologies now has 3 year authority to carry out surface coatings removal work on aircraft, clean aircraft manufacturing tools and supply approved shot media and chemical solutions for use in surface coatings removal.
Using latest safe dry-blasting processes the company has invested in ultrasonic and industrial size high temperature ovens and recently launched portable blasters, developed for the aerospace industry onto the world market.
