Engine maintenance, repair and overhaul specialists SIGMA Aerospace have secured two further military contracts, reinforcing their position as a leading MRO supplier to global markets.

The Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF) has contracted SIGMA to provide full maintenance support for the Rolls-Royce T56-AISLFE engines and accessories, Lockheed C-130 Quick Engine Change nacelles and accessories, and Hamilton Sundstrand 54H60-117 propellers and accessories for its Lockheed C-130H Hercules. The contract is for 3 years, with a potential extension to 5 years.

Meanwhile the Royal Malaysian Air Force has awarded SIGMA a 3 year contract renewal to supply maintenance support on the Hamilton Sundstrand 54H60 series propellers and accessories for its C-130 fleet.

All engines will be tested at SIGMA’s advanced test facility at Pyestock, near Farnborough, which was opened last year. SIGMA, which is part of the Vector Aerospace group, is said to be the only UK based RO facility with the capability for the T-56 and has been supporting the RAF’s Hercules fleet for over 18 years.
