New office provides specialist electronic services for North-West

Specialist Electronic Services Limited (SES) has recently celebrated the official opening of its new offices at Barrow-in-Furness, UK, Cumbria by local MP and Minister of Health, John Hutton. Aided by an Enterprise Grant from the Department of Trade and Industry, SES has opened the new facility to provide a local service to the aerospace and naval markets in the region.

“This opening represents a significant step in our expansion plans”, Mark Mabin, SES’s managing director, commented. “The opening of this office brings the total SES workforce to 40, which represents a doubling of our resources in the last 18 months. Our plan is for significant growth here, with the Barrow-in-Furness team expanding our total force by a further 20 per cent.”

The value of the new office was highlighted as Mark Mabin took the opportunity to complete a project delivery to one of SES’s northern customers, BAE Systems Customer Solutions and Support division, based in Barrow-in-Furness.
