Dunlop Aerospace appoints director of after-market services

Dunlop Aerospace of Coventry, UK, has appointed David Jennings as director of after-market services with responsibility for three of the company's businesses: Dunlop Aerospace Services (DAS), Dunlop Aerospace South East Asia (DASEA) and Dunlop Aerospace North America (DANA) (Plate 9).

The role of director, after-market services is new to Dunlop Aerospace and was created in order to develop and grow the division's after-market activities into a world-class business. In addition to the three business units for which he is responsible, David will also work closely with the manufacturing units to develop the company's after-market growth plan.

David joins Dunlop Aerospace from Rolls-Royce plc. where he was general manager of the company's disc manufacturing facility in Sunderland.

The company has also appointed Keith Lawlor the new A380 programme manager with responsibility for the wheels and carbon brakes to be provided by the company's Braking System strategic business unit to the Airbus Industrie A380 programme.

Keithe's new appointment will involve liaison both with Airbus and with Dunlop's partner in the project, Honeywell Aircraft Landing Systemss (ALS). Dunlop Aerospace and Honeywell are collaborating in the design and manufacture of wheels and brakes as the sole-source supplier to the programme. Dunlop will supply the nose wheel and major brake components for all wheels, including the torque tube and advanced carbon friction materials.
