Allen-Vanguard is launching a versatile range of internal inspection equipment incorporating bore viewers fitted with magnifying lenses.
Specifically designed with a number of features to facilitate the detailed viewing of hard to see crevices, corners and internal spaces, the tools are thought to be particularly useful for professionals in inspection, measurement and quality control.
Made of stainless steel, the bore viewers are said to be able to withstand harsh industrial environments. Viewing is enhanced by a replaceable lamp powered by a universal battery handle which makes it flexible to use while the optical lens provides crystal clear magnification of the viewing area. A range of dental-style removable mirrors provide lateral viewing capabilities and a ball joint allows easy adjustment to any angle.
Bore viewers from the 2 and 3 mm series are said to be ideal for the examination of threads, undercuts, surface finishes, tools and intricate assemblies while the 8 and 14 mm options are more suited to inspecting apertures, cavities, inside complex assemblies, plant and processing equipment, pressures vessels and for any general purpose viewing of inaccessible areas.
Roy Peers Smith, chief operating officer of Allen-Vanguard says: “The bore viewer is an essential tool for any industry. What makes this product so practical is its flexibility and durability. It enables the inspection of an object without the need to dismantle it, saving time and money.”
