L-3 Communications Electron Devices (L-3 EDD), formerly known as Litton Tubes, has expanded its popular microwave power module (MPM) product line with the introduction of a space-saving 28VDC version.

Available from RF and microwave specialist Link Microtek, the new M1221 series module combines a solid-state driver with a vacuum power booster and integrated power conditioner to deliver a typical output power of 60-100W from a single compact package measuring only 199.4 x 165.1 x 25.4mm.

The new MPM is specifically aimed at the large number of aerospace applications that use a bus voltage of 28VDC, including advanced data links, ECM systems, SAR/MTI radar equipment and satcom systems.

Covering the frequency range 6- 18GHz, the M1221 module weighs just 1.77kg, has an operating temperature range of -54- + 85° and can be used at altitudes up to 70,000ft.

A datasheet for the M1221 can be found at Link's web site: www.linkmicrotek.com, under the product category “Amplifiers”.
