Silverjet, the only British exclusively business class airline has placed the inaugural order for STG Aerospace's new Wireless Emergency Primary Power System (WEPPS) innovation, which was launched at both the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg and the MRO Conference and Exposition in Atlanta, Georgia.

Silverjet has ordered the WEPPS system for its transatlantic Boeing 767- 200 fleet.

Peter Evans, operations director, Silverjet, said: “As an exclusively business class airline, safety is of course, our primary priority, but our passengers also expect the very best reliability and punctuality. STG's WEPPS gives us the confidence that our emergency lighting system will never be the cause of dispatch delays and its fit-for-life battery technology also means we will save on ELS maintenance costs.”
