BearingPoint, Inc., a management and technology consulting firm, demonstrated a new solution for maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) organisations in the aerospace industry at SAPPHIRE EMEA '07 held recently in Vienna. The BearingPoint- designed, SAP-powered solution is intended to reduce costs, improve efficiency and achieve new levels of productivity. Once implemented, the BearingPoint MRO Workbench Solution can it is claimed deliver a 60- 80 percent improvement in productivity.

Designed by a team of BearingPoint industry and MRO functional experts, the MRO solution was created to meet the specific requirements of MRO organisations, and provides the flexibility to be customised to individual companies, while adhering to SAP's standard process flow.

In the past, complexity has been one of the barriers for MRO organisations when considering an ERP solution. BearingPoint's MRO Workbench Solution utilises the BearingPoint- developed Receiving Workbench, Inspector's Workbench and Completion Workbench components to simplify and improve data capture, data accuracy and job execution.
