Article Type: News and views From: Aircraft Engineering and Aerospace Technology: An International Journal, Volume 81, Issue 2

CMC Electronics’ second-generation SureSight CMA-2600 l-Series Integrated Sensor System has been selected by Rockwell Collins Head-up Guidance Systems (RCHGS) for their Enhanced Flight Vision System (EFVS) on the Boeing Business Jet. The l-Series sensor system will be integrated with RCHGS’ HGS-4000 Head-up Guidance System and offered to all current and future operators of Boeing 737-based Boeing Business Jets.

Jean-Pierre Mortreux, President and CEO, CMC Electronics, said: “The selection of CMC for this flagship program is further proof of CMC’s growing relationship with Rockwell Collins Head-Up Guidance Systems. It reaffirms the innovative technology and winning combination of capability, availability and performance of our SureSight CMA-2600 l-Series Sensor System.”

The CMC SureSight l-Series Sensor System is integrated with RCHGS’ HGS-4860/5860 Head-Up Guidance System and offered to all Dassault Falcon 2000 EASy Series and 900 EASy Series operators, and will soon be offered to F7X operators. CMC’s SureSight CMA-2600 Integrated Sensor System is also in use by Thales/Bombardier Aerospace on the Global Express platform.

CMC’s SureSight family of Integrated Sensor Systems for EFVS applications is designed to meet demanding video performance, reliability and quality standards, and continues to be the leading choice for airframe manufacturers and prime contractors. CMC’s integrated sensor systems offer enhanced situational awareness in adverse operating conditions and enable operators to take advantage of regulations expanding the operational capabilities of aircraft equipped with an EFVS.
