Each year, Emerald Group Publishing Limited recognises an outstanding partnership through the Emerald Partnership Award. In 2010, this award goes to China Agricultural University, Beijing.
About the winner
China Agricultural University (CAU) has been instrumental in the success of the 2009 launch of China Agricultural Economic Review (CAER) (www.emeraldinsight.com/caer.htm) with CAU’s tireless activities generating much attention in the academic community.
To increase CAER’s international visibility and profile; CAU hosted the First CAER Annual Conference in October 2009 and its patronage meant that delegates were able to attend without incurring registration charges.
The Emerald Literati Network awards for the first volume of CAER were presented to winning authors at the conference, and CAU President, Professor Bingsheng Ke was among dignitaries presenting the awards (Plates 1 and 2).

The dedicated and experienced editorial team, eleven members of which are based at CAU, consistently collaborates with Emerald and has worked with representatives to run an Insider’s Guides to Getting Published in November 2009. Editorial team members based at the institution were active participants, acquainting attendees with the history of the journal as well as the peer-review process and other quality measures used during the selection of papers.
We congratulate China Agricultural University on this achievement and look forward to working further with this university.
