EIPC has announced the appointment of Kirsten Westenberg (see Plate 1) as project manager.
Kirsten (26) is a marketing and communications professional with a number of years' experience in event management. Her former employer, the MECC in Maastricht, The Netherlands, was host of EPC2000, the European PCB Convention last year.
As product manager Kirsten was responsible for organising two trade shows in the sphere of multi-media products and services. Her experience in exhibition and conference management will be a valuable asset in developing the extensive programme of activities that EIPC is about to launch.
Initially, Kirsten will focus on the management of and participation in major European industry events including EPC@Productronica in November this year and EPC2002, concurrently organised with the premier world-wide technology conference, ECWC9 in October 2002 in Cologne, Germany.
Kirsten joined the new EIPC team on 1 September and will be based at the new EIPC offices in Maastricht, The Netherlands.
