David Humby appointed marketing manager, laminate products – Europe

David Humby has been appointed to the position of marketing manager, Laminate Products. As part of Polyclad's global marketing team, Mr Humby is responsible for the development and implementation of Polyclad^® laminates, prepregs and resin-coated foils marketing activities throughout Europe.

Mr Humby will work closely with Polyclad's European sales and technical service team to strengthen and reinforce customer relationships. He will join with other Cookson Electronics colleagues to promote the benefits and synergies of using complementary products and services to provide "total solutions" to the PWB fabrication and assembly businesses. Mr Humby will be based at the Cookson Electronics, Woking, UK facility.

Prior to joining Polyclad, Mr Humby was employed by APW Electronics, where he held a variety of engineering and marketing positions over 16 years. Most recently, he had been the company's European programme leader responsible for design services and manufacturing of integrated electronic enclosure systems used in the communications, computing and Internet markets. Mr Humby specialized in the design-in and program management of high performance, high layer count and high aspect ratio impedance controlled back panel system products.

Mr Humby holds an HNC in electrical and electronic engineering. He earned a diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (DipM, MCIM) and an MA degree in marketing from Southampton Business School.
