Dr Ursula Meyer appointed as European Applications Scientist for March Plasma Systems

March Plasma Systems has named Ursula Meyer as their Applications Scientist for Europe (see Plate 2). Dr Meyer will oversee the day-to- day operations of their regional applications laboratory at the Maastricht, Netherlands facility and will focus on customer requirements throughout Europe.

"Her background and experience strengthen our ability to develop process requirements that exceed customer expectations."

In addition to managing day-to-day laboratory operations, Dr Meyer is responsible for pre-sales support and customer demonstrations. She will also provide customer site applications development and will conduct plasma system research.

Dr Meyer holds a PhD in Chemistry from the Technical University of Graz, where her PhD thesis focused on the surface modification of polymers. She has direct experience in polymer synthesis, processing and analysis, and recently worked on the influence of inorganic particles in nanocomposites at TNO TPD in the Netherlands.

March Plasma Systems is the leader in gas plasma technology for micro- and opto-electronic packaging, PCB, and webbed material industries. Batch systems are available in several chamber sizes with multiple-shelf configurations to accommodate magazines, strips, circuit boards, wafer and process carriers.
