Purpose – Describes how to use Web conferencing to train employees who are located in different places. Design/methodology/approach – Draws on the experience of a US trainer, who is now a training consultant, describing how she developed Web conferencing using the Web conferencing tool, Webex. Discusses how the training had to be tailored to make it effective over the Web. Findings – Argues that this offers an effective way of training a mobile, or geographically-spread team. Practical implications – Offers one person’s experience. Originality/value – Outlines how to develop training based on Web conferencing.ISSN: 0095-5892Reference: 37AX812
