A Progressive Strategy for Employee Relations
Abstract
Introduction Despite the rather pessimistic analysis in the second section, the overall theme of this paper is optimistic. Whilst there is little doubt that traditional Employee Relations thinking is well nigh bankrupt and has little to offer, it is equally true that the pain faced by many companies and the instinct for survival have been powerful motivators in developing new employee relations approaches. These have proved very effective and have every chance of giving both greatly improved employee relations and also a much more competitive British Industry.
