Abstract
Scientific and technological research in technical colleges has been accepted. It is universally agreed that a person engaged on such research should, as a consequence, be more effective in his teaching. Educational research in technical colleges has not attracted the same emphasis. In the writer's view this is unfortunate because educational research can have at least as good an effect on the quality and attainments of technical teaching.
