Abstract

Dr Topping, whose own college is as yet less than half complete, notes some important considerations which should be borne in mind in the planning stages of new college buildings. The front cover photograph is of a model of Brunel as it is planned to appear in about 1964. The buildings with black roofs are already in use; construction of the others has not yet begun, in fact much of the site is still occupied by other buildings. Photographs 1, 2 and 3 are by The School of Photography, The Polytechnic, Regent Street, London. Brunel's architect is C. G. Stillman, FRIBA, Middlesex County Architect.
