Abstract
Many trainers and managers will have encountered networks either under that name or as Critical Path Analysis or PERT and, with these people in mind, I should like to discuss possible applications of the technique in training. Initially, the emphasis will be on the application of networks to self instructional techniques; but later I shall discuss its use on some instructor‐based courses.
