Abstract

Time and again experience demonstrates that in a large number of cases the person most knowledgeable about a particular job is the individual actually performing it. And time and again management appear hell‐bent on stifling employee creativity. Even today it is not uncommon for a manager to take the line towards hourly paid personnel: I'm here to do the thinking; you just get on with the job.
