Educational trends in the Beautiful Island: Towards an Open University

Abstract

So said the Secretary to the Sri Lanka Ministry of Education, Dr. P. Udagama, on the inauguration in June of postal diploma courses which he described as another important step towards the democratisation of tertiary education in the island.
