Abstract
In calling my new journal Industrial and Commercial Training I have sought to draw attention to the importance of commercial training. Commercial training is much less well‐developed than industrial training generally: it has been somewhat neglected. But I have a feeling that we are about to make a major breakthrough in this field. The Central Training Council put forward sound recommendations for new starters in clerical jobs. Why were they such a failure?
