Abstract

Recently I was addressing a meeting of workshop instructors. I drew them into a discussion of the behavioural sciences and their relevance to the trainer. Their view surprised me: it was that the behavioural sciences are relevant to the management trainer but not to the workshop instructor. Since that time I have come to accept the fact that this view is held on a wide scale in many countries. The purpose of this article is to establish the nature of the instructor's involvement in the behavioural field.
