Training electronics technicians: Creating the learning environment
Abstract
Several years ago, because my company was unable to recruit the number and quality of electronics test staff needed, the decision was made to set up an Electronics Training Centre. An investigation into what training was required showed three major needs • to introduce new test personnel to the company's products test methods systems • to refresh and expand the skills and knowledge of existing test staff at various levels of ability • to improve the fault finding techniques of test staff by emphasising the development of personal approaches to fault finding
