Improving pensions communications
Abstract
Although a recent survey carried out by the Institute of Manpower Studies for Noble Lowndes into employees' knowledge of their pension schemes emphasised the need to improve the communication of pensions benefits to employees, it also produced some encouragement to increase efforts in the communications area. For example, there was a keen and serious interest in the survey. Very few firms did not co‐operate, a remarkably high percentage of people responded to the questionnaire, of which very few were spoilt, and 91 people admitted after reading it how little they knew and how much they needed information.
