Abstract

It is no exaggeration to say that malaise at work, with its accompanying symptons of strikes, tension, conflict and high labour turnover, has been on the increase in recent years, particularly among young people. This situation has confronted managers with the problem of reconciling high productivity with satisfaction at work.
