why communicate?
Abstract
There is no organisation, industrial, commercial or educational that is not subject to the continuing malaise of poor communication. Many organisations do make genuine attempts to communicate effectively both horizontally and vertically and certainly vast amounts of money are spent in training managers and staff to improve their communications skill. Unfortunately despite all the good intentions and superb training courses communications derailments still happen, often with disastrous results upon productivity, motivation, and commitment, as well as on the individual's nervous system.
