Abstract

A short while ago a training friend of mine received a ‘phone call from the secretary of a busy executive. At the time, my friend was running a series of courses on the management of time and the secretary was enquiring on behalf of this manager. ‘That sounds just what he's looking for’ she said as he explained what the course covered and how it did it, ‘can you tell me where and when the next one is to be held?’ He gave her the place and also the dates for the next of the three‐day courses. ‘But that's three days’ she exclaimed, ‘he couldn't possibly afford that amount of time. He's far too busy’.
