ASEA Industrial Robots‐Taking Over Unwanted Jobs Through Numerical Control
Abstract
Not many automation tools have been so much discussed as the industrial robot. Starting about ten years ago, robots were first marketed as universal machines, capable of replacing man in a number of industrial jobs. Those robots sold slowly during the first several years, and the question was sometimes raised whether they were only a temporary technical solution, soon to be forgotten.
