Abstract

Analysis of factory costs shows that the labour content is one third that of materials and bought out components. Industrial Robots are a means whereby costs pertaining to materials can be optimized. However, it is argued that the usage of an integrated system of robotics, computers, management analysis techniques etc. rather than a dispersed or isolated installation will ensure maximum productivity from a manufacturing facility.
