Abstract

A project is a means to achieve change. All projects are complex, dynamic, transient, even turbulent, because the process of change involves risk, uncertainty, an element of the unknown. A construction project comprises a series of activities which, in aggregate, achieve change in the built environment, or in the form or function of a building. These activities involve many different people with different interests working together consecutively or simultaneously to bring that change about.
