CORROSION AND CATHODIC PROTECTION
Abstract
This notable paper is a decade old but is still one of the best introductions to the theory and practice of cathodic protection as applied to underground systems. Appreciation of this fact has led to its use in a number of short corrosion courses organised in the Americas. Part 1, given here, deals with the types and causes of underground corrosion. Part 2, in our next issue, discusses established methods of corrosion control on pipelines.
