Abstract

Effluent from the galvanizing process to be treated consists of continuously flowing water swills and frequently dumped static water washes after alkaline degreasing, acid pickling and galvanizing stages, together with occasional dumps of the degreasing solution and pickling acid if these are required to be treated and are not removed by effluent disposal contractors.
