Abstract

A FACTOR the educationist has to contend with these days is the strong appeal that astronautics has for boys at school. This is greatest in the period when they are aware of the enormous prospects for research and exploration it opens up, and before they have become too engrossed in preparing for and taking their final examinations. This awareness is, on occasion, a source of embarrassment to their teachers, but can be put to good use by those who will take a little trouble to investigate its advantages.
