Abstract

The article ‘A Change in the CATs’, published in the August issue, mentioned the possibility of raising salaries for important posts in the CATs through industrial sponsorship. The principle has already been applied at Loughborough College of Technology. This article by John Wellens describes how Loughborough came to adopt the idea and how they are putting it into practice.
