Abstract

WE HAVE stopped making models at Accrington. Making models — scribing blocks, pulley extractors, bell‐punches and so forth — is of limited use to a technician student in correlating his Maths with his Engineering Science and both of these with his Workshop Technology. It does give a sketchy background, but very rarely exploits anything like the full potentialities of a college engineering workshop.
