ENGLISH: THE JOURNALISTIC APPROACH
Abstract
The ‘self‐expression’ type of writing is certainly effective in teaching English to some technical students. Others, it leaves cold. ‘Report Writing’ can be a useful peg, but it seems too narrow for a basis. Why not teach students explicitly some of the skills of the professional technical journalist?
