Abstract

It is well known that the pulsating air flow in intake and exhaust pipes of an engine or compressor can have appreciable effects on the performance of the machine. In order to predict these effects in advance a designer needs basic data on the frictional losses in pipes, bends, etc, under transient flow conditions.
