Abstract
ONLY TWO YEARS ago the number of language laboratory installations on the market was so small that it was possible to become acquainted with them all in a few hours. Since then developments have been fast — so fast that a recent count showed over 120 laboratories in use in schools, colleges and universities — some colleges even boasting two or three. Many more are planned or in process of installation.
