IN PARLIAMENT: The Training Bill, Day Release, Government Training Centres
Abstract
Speaking during the debate on the third reading of the Bill (see the article on page 128) in the House of Commons, the Minister of Labour expressed the Government's intention to press ahead as fast as possible with the formation of Training Boards for the leading industries. He spoke strongly against any tendency for firms or industries to ‘wait and see’, and emphasised the need for training officers and instructors in preparation for these developments.
