South Kensington to Robbins. M. Argles 178 pp Longmans 21s The content of this book is accurately described by its sub‐title, An Account of English Technical and Scientific Education since 1851. In presenting a survey of technical and scientific education since the Great Exhibition, the author has clearly seen the need for some accurate, complete and readable account of this neglected topic. Despite the very large number of books on English education and its development, there is surprisingly little written on the history of technical education: most historical surveys just leave out the technical aspects. Certainly the need is there.
