COMMENT

Abstract

What is the teacher's duty when he arrives at the college to find that students have taken over? This question has no simple right answer and it has recently placed a number of college teachers on the horns of a dilemma. What is the teacher's duty to his students, to the local authority? Do his loyalties conflict? What is his legal responsibility, his moral responsibility, his professional responsibility — and are these in conflict?
