Education, New York Style
Abstract
I have recently returned from New York where I was teaching in the Children's Community Workshop School in Manhattan. This school, which was set up last September, was run entirely by its parents on the lines of the English primary school; it developed as a protest against the depressing educational, social and racial conditions in the local ‘public’ schools. It was only with great regret that I was obliged to resign in March because of persistant ill‐health, and return to this country.
