Abstract

I believe that it is not too far‐fetched to link our industrial and economic decline with deficiencies in the educational system. Schools today are failing to produce an adequate curriculum for the present scientific and technological society. This failure of the English educational system can be traced to a lack of educational planning which has been evident since the nineteenth century.
