Abstract

In all economically advanced countries a high proportion of the labour force is engaged in the service industries. This, allied with labour intensity, highlights the importance of effective employee management in that sector. Meanwhile, there is growing evidence of the role which behaviour modification programmes can play to secure more effective employee results.
