Abstract

For the first time, it is possible to study for a Business Education Council (BEC) award containing a distribution bias without attending college. The Institute of Grocery Distribution has launched two Directed Private Study schemes for the distributive trades suitable for all staff in the industry with commitment and potential. The courses consist of specially written lessons which can be studied when time is available. Progress is monitored by assessed assignments, which are marked by tutors and returned to the students. Both courses commence in September, 1981, and registrations are now being accepted.
