Abstract
Whilst much of the world is still in the throes of a major economic recession, 1984 is proving another very good year for Singapore. In the first six months growth rate was up by a massive 9.7 per cent, while productivity rose by 7.9 per cent. And this follows growth rates of 9.9 per cent in 1981, 6.3 per cent in 1982, and 7.9 per cent in 1983.
