Abstract

I will define Higher Education as post‐school studies which are set at a standard above English “A”‐level or Scottish “H”‐grade. Using this definition, engineering courses in higher education in Scotland are available in six universities, five central institutions (the Scottish equivalent of polytechnics) and in 37 Regional Authority further education colleges
